Kat Marsh

Kat Marsh is a DIY solo performer with a big voice and many many instruments. Since her solo debut in 2006, she has been creating songs onstage by recording live looped vocals & instruments.

With her ever-developing looping skills and introduction of fun/exciting/bizarre equipment into her live shows, Kat is aiming for something pretty special when she performs. Since she started performing live in 2001, she's supported the Scissor Sisters (during their first ever UK tour), Regina Spektor & Kimya Dawson. Between 2009 and 2010 she produced 2 live DVDs of her songs.

The first 'Kat Marsh: Live at Presspack Studios', featuring a full band and string quartet, was a limited edition release in September 2009. The second 'Hunted', featuring a full band of female musicians, will be released on May 22nd 2010 with a UK tour to follow.

She also likes to guest as a vocalist on other albums and has sung on albums for The King Blues (Save the World, 'Get the Girl' released in 2008 and 'Punk & Poetry' to be released in late 2010), Crazy Arm (Bo To Ruin), The Breaks (Finally) and The Julian Tulk Band (Shine! My Brother, My Ghost, My Brother). She has sung live with The King Blues, Crazy Arm and The Breaks. 2010 will see the start of recording her debut album with producer John Congleton.
