Roger Styles

Roger Styles is a distinctive and impressive solo acoustic artist who creates a remarkable wall of sound, often compared to that of an entire band, which has exhilarated audiences & the music industry alike.

Using a loop pedal to layer vocals, beatbox and guitar lines the music is harmonically rich with the pulse of a homemade bass drum (a metal flight case). The live experience gives you rock funk pop tunes with guitar virtuoso blended into sincere and introspective song writing.

Influences include Peter Gabriel, Elbow, Prince, Paco De Lucia, Sting, Jamie Lidell and many more.

Roger has played session guitar both in the studio and live for inspirational artists such as Caroline Lavelle (Peter Gabriel, Radiohead) and has worked with Gino Washington & Marlena Shaw.

2009 has seen the release of Roger Styles - ‘Live at the Shed’ on DVD and CD showcasing an energetic and intense live performance.

At present Roger is working on a debut studio album and is touring the UK and Europe both solo and with his band the ‘Roger Styles Band’.
