The Iconyx

Singer/guitarist George Harris and bassist Matt Featherstone met while studying music practice at South Devon College and formed the band. They never took to the scruffy indie look, preferring instead to take pride in their appearance wearing sharp suits and carefully coiffured hair. In their music too they take pride in their musicianship with carefully crafted songs that are enjoyable to dance and sing-along to. They quickly became the most popular band in college, playing the graduation ball and numerous 18th birthday bashes. Once they started playing the local pubs and clubs they quickly became the most popular band in Torbay too with over 2,500 registered fans to date.
 

Their style is a familiar one in UK pop history. Plain english lyrics that speak for a generation through ultra-catchy tunes that will have you humming for weeks. Think Madness, The Housemartins, Blur, McFly, but playing to a generation bo in the 1990's.
