Pirates & Wenches in Fantasy Festival Land

Fans of Devon based music festival IVYLIVE (one of the UK’s freshest and most cutting edge live music festivals) have cited their ultimate Fantasy Festival line-up to be; all time Greats ‘The Beatles’, Tennessee powerhouse ‘Kings of Leon’ supported by South West heroes Cosmo Jarvis and Mad Dog McRea. What’s more is the audience would attend adorned like Pirates of the Caribbean extras for a ‘Pirates and Wenches’ fancy dress themed opening night.

Hundreds of fans entering the Fantasy Festival competition on the IVYLIVE website were asked to name their favorite Classic and Mainstream band as well as 2 local bands they’d love to see play the festival. They were also asked to pick from a range of fancy dress themes or suggest a dress code of their own for IVYLIVE’s opening night.

In response to the overwhelming consensus; IVYLIVE organisers are delighted to have booked the return of the most highly rated local artists in the Fantasy Festival competition; Cosmo Jarvis and Mad Dog McRea.

The festival-going public embraced the opportunity to recommend their own fancy dress theme for the opening night with suggestions that included; Naked and Free, Umpa Lumpas, Woodstock, tweed wearing fusty old people, the Roaring Twenties and Farmers. The overwhelming majority of fans voted for Pirates & Wenches, which IVYLIVE organisers are pleased to announce as the official fancy dress theme for Friday night. IVYLIVE attendees are encouraged to wear swash buckling shirts, hooks and eye-patches. For those without such booty, Pirate accessories will also be available for purchase on the festival site.

IVYLIVE’s Fantasy Festival winner Amanda who lives in Aberdeen can’t wait to make the trip down to Devon to enjoy her free festival tickets and beer tokens at the festival which runs from 10th-12th September.
